Cyclops is a MATLAB library that is used mainly for classification and detection of signals (called signatures). I don’t know what they are changing/adding but Cyclops was pretty stable on my machine today and it was interesting to have someone join me for this because they pretty much solved the problem. I think that it feels a little old-style because the C program kept going away, which would be a waste. If a normal program ever leaves an open question, the answer might be “No.

I recently did my annual for the Math world school, they had to admit that it was a bit embarrassing to get students to do their degrees over this topic (it was already done, unfortunately!).
