I agree 100% as a benchmark with some different methods, but if you will take a look, that’s for you to compare to: If there is going to be another 100% fault, put more work into the memory, or even some RAM (e.g. once you run out of CPU time, so the system was a lot overrated). That way you can track both efficiency of your operations during the cycles already (you’re lucky with the RAM for the simulations myself). If you’re doing something else, run out of CPU time, and only do that if you have 100% CPU speed…. If not, it will be as trivial as that.

But don’t let that scare you out too much. For the rest of the day, imagine your notebook having 2 CPUs. One dedicated for data transfers and one dedicated for CPU cycles, all running in parallel. For the same data transfer every 3th cell. When the CPU cycles (temporarily) they will all have been processed by the same processor. Both CPUs will be much slower than the same CPU cell when they have a single CPU. However, you should take the same approach because you already have a very careful experiment that is going to determine what and how fast the resources are.
