# Matrix-Based Learning and Signal Processing

Signal Processing is a hard mathematical subject. However, most people are familiar with it and how it can be used in their jobs. For example, when an engineer has to take measurements of something, he or she first puts it into Matlab.

If the measurements are accurate, then that means that the measurements were taken into Matlab. Matlab gives the engineer a way to use trigonometry (thinks of it as distance measurement). This is used to find a way to make sure that there will be no errors. You can find the equations for trigonometry on a page or in a table on the left side of your Matlab application.

A matrix is a collection of numbers arranged in a certain way. It looks like a bunch of stacked boxes, with the lower left and lower right boxes usually being different than the upper boxes. Matrices may also contain one element which is written either as the right hand side or as the left hand side.

The way Matlab works is that you will have a function that determines the behavior of the user. The function controls an output. The function can either tell the user if the right matrix is correct or tell the user if the input is a correct value.

When you have mastered this activity, you will begin to see patterns that can become a part of your learning process. There is not a standard formula that all signal processing will follow, but a few are:

The equation helps to guide you through the learning process of matrices and how they can be used. This allows you to set up, break down, and expand your understanding of how this is done.

When you are first learning signal processing, you will have to study the functions. You will have to work with an equation and a table so that you can find out what the functions do.

One of the functions that you will have to learn is the Mean Square. This function will allow you to determine the average of all the inputs and the value of all the outputs.

Another is the Inner Product. This function will allow you to measure the difference between the values of the input and the output.

The Difference of Sums and Product are the two main functions that you will have to study. They are used to determine the differences of the outputs and the inputs.

Two other functions that you will have to study are the sum and the Product of the function. These functions are used to determine the product of the input and the output.

The way these functions work is that you will learn about how to break down a complex function. This allows you to see how this function is different from one of the other functions. Once you learn how to do this, you will know how to apply this to your signals.
